Fourth of July Parade
The 4th of July is the major event of the year in Ward. Years ago, the booms of dynamite charges shook the top of Left Hand Canyon and rattled the windows of refurbished miner's cabins.
Today the shrill of the fire engine's siren announces the beginning of the children's parade, open to little and big kids alike. The parade winds from the Old Depot, down through town, and up to the Ward Town Hall and if bikers or tourists traveling through Boulder County's Left Hank Canyon are lucky, they get to see the parade.

Ward Town Picture
Following the parade, the famous Ward Town Picture takes place. Residents line the hillside below the Town Hall and pose for the Ward Town Picture just as they did in 1898.

Evening brings the Ward Town Fireworks at the Ball Field where folks gather to set off and view fireworks displays.
